Severson is finishing up his 5th year with the Kelowna Rockets in the WHL with an impressive playoff run. He’s played 13 games in the postseason and has recorded 16 points. It’s down to the final four and Severson is determined to be the difference maker on the blue line for the Rockets. In the regular season the defenceman racked up 61 points in 64 games with the Rockets.

Severson likes to model his game after Nashville Predators defenceman Shea Weber and with the pick-up of his offencive game, Severson is looking like a young Weber. He has lethal skating and puck moving abilities combined with leadership and a wicked point shot that can make any goalie look silly. Sverson has looked very good with the Rockets this season and is poised to be a solid NHL defenceman in the future. Next year he could find himself on the Devils blue line.
