Friday night the Providence Bruins head back to the Dunk to host the Connecticut Whale for the second meeting of the season. The last time these two teams met up the Bruins fell 6-3, recording 40 shots on goal with Maxime Sauve, Jordan Caron and Jamie Tardif scoring.

The Bruins are coming off of a two-game road trip where they faced the St.John’s IceCaps and brought home 2 out of a possible 4 points, finishing with a devastation 6-0 loss.

Currently the Bruins are in last place in the Atlantic Division with 15 points, three points behind the 4th place Portland Pirates.  Meanwhile the Whale sit in 3rd in the Northeast with 19 points.

Once again this is a face-off between brothers Chris and Ryan Bourque, sons of Boston Bruins’ great and 2001 Stanley Cup Champion Ray Bourque. Chris currently leads his team along with Ryan Spooner with 12 points.  Kris Newbury will be the man to keep your eye on if you are Providence, as he leads his team in points with 18, three of those points coming from the last meeting between these two teams.

Game time is at 7:05pm ET and can be heard online or seen on AHL Live.
